Chic are a representation of a casual girl band, as they are trying to portray their friendship. In their digipak and magazine advert they are depicting their different and fun personalities, as they want to be know as entertaining and care-free.Although, as this music video is concept based, it will be harder to focus on letting the artists personalities to come through, so for this reason the artists will be adequately dressed, as we want the demographic to focus on their talent rather than only on their aesthetics.
Chic is represented in a positive manor as we found in the research that the sexual and volgar look does not appeal to the audience we are planning to target. So after deliberating we thought that a more sottle look may have been more appropriate, also represented us in a better light.
Their clothing are simple but effective as they relate well to the narrative in the music video; the casual clothing such as jeans or leggings represents them as simple and makes them more realistic so that the audience can relate to them better. This will help to create a bond between Chic and their target audience as they can really comprehend each of the band members style and really relate to it.
